How do I pay the service fee, and can I get a refund?
Payment method: service fees are collected via Square Invoices. You receive an electronic invoice with a payment link and pay online by credit card. Square accepts the major international card brands, so cards issued outside Japan work fine.
One point about invoices: as a rule, the only invoices we issue are for service fees. Your company's capital does not, in principle, pass through us — the capital is your company's own money and is kept entirely separate from our fees. In the exceptional case where we temporarily hold capital in custody, we issue only a temporary custody receipt (not an invoice), and the funds are handed over in full, never mixed with service fees.
Payment is split into two installments: 50% after pre-check clearance, and the remaining 50% before the incorporation filing is submitted.
If you book a paid consultation first (30 minutes, ¥8,800 tax included) and later sign up for the full GK incorporation service, the consultation fee is credited toward your total.
The refund policy works as follows:
1. Cancellation before pre-check clearance: any deposit paid is refunded in full, minus a ¥30,000 administrative fee.
2. Cancellation after pre-check clearance: the initial 50% deposit is non-refundable, as work has already commenced.
3. After the filing has been submitted: no refunds are available.
4. Government fees paid on your behalf (such as the registration license tax) are non-refundable regardless of when you cancel.
